Art of the Hard Sell

...RAW, in fact, made a point of exhibiting a censored painting by local artist Marc Simmons after it had been removed from the Workers Compensation Commission on Asylum Avenue last November because office workers insisted that its depiction of teenage girls in bathing suits was "inappropriate and demeaning."  the episode was reminder that as the amount of space devoted to showing art increases, so does the risk of offending those who don't understand that to most painters, a figure study is about form, not nudity per se, and political correctness be damned.
